Who we are

The Coastal Shores Team is a real estate group affiliated with RE/MAX Island Realty ("we," "us," "our"). This site helps prospective 55+ homebuyers explore Lowcountry communities.

Information we collect

• Quiz responses. Answers you provide about lifestyle, budget, and community preferences.
• Contact information. Name, email address, and phone number when you request a call or the Decision Kit.
• Scheduling preferences. The day and time window you select for a call.
• Marketing attribution. UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, content, term) captured from your first visit and stored in your browser to help us understand which ads or referrals brought you here.
• Technical information. Standard log data from our hosting and analytics providers, such as approximate location, browser type, and pages viewed.

How we use it

• To generate your community matches and deliver the Decision Kit.
• To contact you about the call you requested or the resources you asked for.
• To follow up with information about Lowcountry communities we believe may be relevant.
• To measure the performance of our marketing and improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Calls and text messages

When you give us a phone number on one of our forms, you agree that the Coastal Shores Team at RE/MAX Island Realty may contact you by phone call, text message (SMS), or email about the request you submitted — for example, to send the Decision Kit, confirm a call time, or answer your questions about Lowcountry communities.

We use your number only for that follow-up. We do not send automated marketing text blasts, and we do not share or sell your number to other companies or sales offices.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile plan. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of future texts, or HELP for help. You can also ask us by email to stop calling or texting, and we will honor that request.

Consenting to calls or texts is never a condition of buying or selling a home or of using anything on this site.

How we share it

We share information only with service providers who help us run this site and communicate with you — for example, our hosting and database provider, email delivery service, and analytics tools. These providers may only use the information to perform services for us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.

Cookies and local storage

We store a small record of the marketing source that brought you to the site in your browser's local storage so that attribution persists beyond the first page. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.

Data retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain reasonable business records, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Your choices

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing carey@careynorth.com. You may also opt out of further outreach at any time by replying to any message from us.

Residents of certain states (including California) may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Contact us using the email above to exercise them.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Fair Housing

We follow the federal Fair Housing Act and comparable state laws. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
